Sint Maarten (Miscellaneous) / Car thefts: the police have made two new arrests

During several traffic checks, the police on the Dutch side arrested two individuals who were traveling in stolen cars.

The first arrest took place on A.Th Illidge Road around 21:30 p.m. last week. While the police were checking the vehicle's documents, it appeared that the identification numbers had been falsified. Unable to provide a valid explanation, the driver was arrested and transferred to the Philipsburg police station for questioning.

The second arrest took place last Friday, around 1:30 am, on LB Scott Road. When the police asked for the vehicle documents, the driver was unable to present the documents. The individual was also taken to the police station for further investigation.

The two vehicles were seized and taken to the grounds of the Philipsburg police station.
