According to their latest health report, the authorities in Sint Maarten confirmed a new positive case on July 1, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Dutch part to 78. However, there are no active cases in the territory.
The government has also indicated that a person was admitted to hospital for reasons unrelated to Covid-19 for medical transfer. It was still tested as required by the procedure and the results returned positive. A second test was performed and found to be negative. The person could therefore be evacuated to Curacao.
To date, 523 tests have been carried out in the Dutch part and 851 in the French part.
There is only one active case to date, it is listed in the French part.
