For a week, the council of ministers of Sint Maarten has only had four ministers, two others having resigned last Thursday; initially it is composed of nine ministers.

On October 10, the Council of Ministers accepted the resignations of the Prime Minister, Leona Romeo-Marlin and the Minister of Justice, Cornelius de Weever.

Wycliffe Smith, Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports has been appointed Prime Minister. The other ministers are Perry Geerlings (Finance), Stuart Johnson (tourism, economy, transport and telecommunications) and Christopher Wever (housing, spatial planning, environment and infrastructure).

This Council of Ministers will thus remain until the formation of a new government scheduled for early 2020.
