Following a series of armed robberies carried out by scooter riders, Dutch police have implemented an action plan that targets scooter drivers who may be involved in these armed robberies.

During an operation carried out on Wednesday, September 13, around 2 a.m., the police spotted a black scooter traveling on LB Scott Road without a visible license plate.

While they tried to arrest him and carry out a routine inspection of the scooter, the driver of the two-wheeler tried to flee the police. The pursuit continued until the motorcyclist lost control near Copper Drive, near a local supermarket, and subsequently fell off his two-wheeler.

After a brief foot chase, police were able to locate the suspect who had attempted to hide a firearm under a vehicle. The firearm was eventually seized.

The suspect was arrested and taken into custody at the police station for questioning. He was remanded in custody pending further investigation. _AF
