Métimer will represent Saint-Martin at the Paris Nautical Show, from December 2 to 10, at the invitation of the Federation of Nautical Industries (FIN). It will be the first international representation of Saint Martin since the passage of Irma and Maria.

The team is composed of Bülent Gülay, president of the association, Brigitte Delaître, editor of Turquoise, Emmanuel Demanez, treasurer and manager of Wind Adventures, Pierre Altier, member and manager of Private Yacht Charter, Laurence Vallette, member and webmaster of Métimer, Alexina Paya, association coordinator, Eve de Saint-Alary, volunteer, and Jean Vallette, professional photographer.

Saint-Martin, guest of honor at Nautic 2017, will communicate with professionals and boaters on the consequences of the passage of Irma, the current state of the nautical sector, the difficulties for restarting, the immediate needs of professionals and the nautical reconstruction plan in Saint-Martin in the coming months.

The international press, very present at this show, will be informed by the team on site and with the benefit of experience.

The team will communicate with the local press daily by making texts, photos and videos available to journalists and the Métimer facebook will be updated daily.

The presidents of the Community, the Tourist Office, the CCISM and the Directorate of the Sea were officially invited to the opening ceremony of the fair to deliver their message of hope and to answer questions from the press.

The Nautic represents 250 visitors, 000 exhibitors and 700 days of exhibition from December 9 to 2 at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles.

The team set up a contest with a stay for two people in Saint Martin, including flights, accommodation at the La Plantation hotel, nautical activities at Wind Adventure and participation in the Fête de la Wed, May 26 and 27, 2018.

To participate, candidates must fill out a coupon on the leaflet that the FIN, Métimer and the Tourist Office have designed together for a draw of 70 copies, distributed at the various entrances to the show.

3 stickers with the SXM smile again logo will be distributed to generous donors as well as 000 T-shirts bearing the logos of the Tourist Office and Métimer.

The community, the Tourist Office and the CCISM participated in the operation, and the partnership with the FIN enabled this project to be carried out.
