The Collectivity launched, last Sunday, the Christmas lights, with a traditional celebration in its Gardens in Marigot.
By this initiative, the President of the Community, Daniel Gibbs, the 1st vice-president, Valérie Damaseau, in charge of Cultural Development and Yolande Sylvestre, president of the Culture commission, wanted to mark Thanksgiving day by lighting up the Christmas tree and the Community Gardens, in a festive and cultural atmosphere. Traditional cuisine and music were in the spotlight and the public was there.
This day of celebration launched the Christmas festivities that will move through the neighborhoods, from December 2 to 17, with a big closing evening, Wednesday December 20 on the Marigot Seafront, organized in partnership with the company Air Caraïbes .
