A 14th edition placed under the sign of solidarity!

This Sunday, April 22, at 13 p.m., the 19 skipper duos will set off from Concarneau to Saint-Barthélemy for the start of the 14th edition of the Transat AG2R LA MONDIALE. Now a test of the French Elite Offshore Racing Championship, the Transat AG2R LA MONDIALE will bring together experienced sailors as well as young talents from various backgrounds.

The Solidarity Prize will mark this year the support of all skippers in Saint Barth following the passage of Hurricane Irma. AG2R LA MONDIALE will set up a unique solidarity action for this 14th edition by inviting the general public to "like" the Facebook page of the Transat. By this simple gesture, enthusiasts of the Transat, families, friends, partners of sailors or simply lovers of the sea will help to rebuild the Sailing School of Saint Barthélemy, very badly destroyed by the 'hurricane. Young Saint-Barths will thus be able to reconnect with learning to sail. Following the solidarity that the general public has shown on the Transat facebook page, AG2R LA MONDIALE will provide financial support to the Saint-Barthélemy Sailing School.

It is the sailors of the Transat AG2R LA MONDIALE themselves who will give the check to the young people of the island upon their arrival in Saint-Barthélemy. _AF
