For the first time since 2013, the number of inhabitants in the French part of the island of Saint-Martin increased; it was 36 on January 509, 1 according to figures from INSEE published by a decree in the Official Journal of the French Republic. This represents an increase of 2018%, or 1,58 inhabitants more. We find a number of inhabitants equivalent to that of the years 568-2015.
In 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, respective decreases of 638, 470, 65 and 516 inhabitants were recorded.
In nine years, the population has grown by 2,28%, going from 35 inhabitants in 692 to 2009 today. The largest increases were observed in 36 and 509 with + 2010 and + 2011 inhabitants respectively.
