Woman hit by motorcycle, police call for witnesses

A woman was hit by a motorcycle while trying to cross Walter Nisbeth Road on Thursday February 21. 

According to information from the road traffic department, the cars going in both directions stopped to allow the victim to cross, but a motorcycle hit the latter. The operator of the craft continued on his way towards the Prince Bernard bridge after having brutally touched the victim.

The woman suffered bruises on different parts of her body. Paramedics were called to the scene; she was transported to the Sint Maarten medical center.

The St. Maarten Police Traffic Department is still investigating the accident and hopes to be able to arrest the person responsible soon.
