Tourism: The largest liner in the world present today in Philipsburg


The largest liner in the world will be calling today in the port of Pointe Blanche in Philipsburg. Wonder of the Seas was built by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France on behalf of the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

The ship, which cost 1,35 billion dollars, left Saint-Nazaire on November 5 to reach the port of Marseille where finishing work was to be carried out. He arrived in Florida on March 4 to begin his first cruise in the Caribbean. He will be in the Mediterranean during the summer season.

Wonder of the Seas is 362 meters long, 63 meters wide and includes 17 decks. It can accommodate up to 6988 passengers in 2867 cabins or suites. It has around 2400 crew members.

The Royal Caribbean Cruise Line also owns Harmony, Symphony, Allure and Oasis of the Seas, the 5 largest cruise ships in the world.
