The Saint-Martin local court delivered its deliberations on Friday morning in the so-called dog poisoning case that occurred in mid-September last year.
The judges considered that the material elements appearing in the investigation and brought by the witnesses, were not sufficient to be able to find DC guilty of the charges, namely to have deposited poison in various sectors in the north of the island. and to have caused the death of about fifteen dogs and cats.
The court therefore ordered the acquittal of the main defendant. The court received the constitution of the civil parties but dismissed their claim for compensation.
The hearing took place on February 3. The prosecutor had requested a fine of 7 euros, including 500 with a simple suspended sentence.
