Discovery evening of sea turtles

0

The Saint-Martin Nature Reserve invites on May 23, at 18 p.m., those who love sea turtles to the Calypso restaurant in Anse Marcel. Participants will be able to attend a presentation of the turtles, discover the means implemented to protect them, and learn more about the work of volunteers when monitoring egg laying. Those interested in these patrols - once a week or depending on availability - will also have the opportunity to register. There are five species in Saint-Martin: the Leatherback turtle, the Hawksbill turtle, the Green turtle, the Loggerhead turtle and the Olive turtle. We can find 30 to 70 eggs per nest. Track monitoring is carried out in collaboration with the National Office for Hunting and Wild Fauna (ONCFS).
