Sint Maarten: Man shot dead in shooting

On Tuesday January 12, at around 21:30 p.m., a shooting broke out in the area of ​​Blyden's Drive. A young man was injured in his upper body and taken to Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) by friends.

Detective and forensic medicine personnel were called to SMMC by the emergency department after the victim was admitted for treatment. The injured person, who was in serious but stable condition, was able to make his statement to the police. The latter went to the places indicated by the victim and found elements indicating that several shots had been fired.

Blood was found at the scene and forensic staff collected samples. A search of the area was carried out, but the author of the shots was not found.
