An accident occurred on Saturday December 31 just before noon. The driver of a quad, accompanied by a passenger, lost control of his machine on the road to Flamingo.
According to the first observations made by the Dutch police, it turns out that the driver of the machine was driving too close to the edge of the road and ended up in the ditch.
The pilot and his passenger fell heavily, causing them serious injuries.
The two people were first taken care of by the rescue teams who arrived quickly at the scene of the accident before being transferred to the Sint Maarten Medical Center.
A police investigation is still underway to determine the circumstances and causes of their fall. _AF
