Rescue: Start of initial training for the nine new volunteer firefighter recruits

0

Last Monday, nine new recruits began their initial training as volunteer firefighters at the Savane rescue center.

"This training of more than 250 hours is entirely provided by the trainers of the rescue center", specifies Cyrille Pallud, head of the Fire and Rescue Center of Saint-Martin, before adding "the recruits will be subject to a strong requirement physique and great adaptability. Those who have validated their training will move up a ladder and become team members with real responsibility for firefighting, personal rescue and protection of property and the environment”.

In complementarity with professionals, volunteer firefighters participate in civil security missions and are driven by the same desire: to save lives, protect property and the environment. True risk technicians, they constitute one of the essential links in the chain of relief. _AF
