Regional telluric activity for the month of July is stable, according to the assessment carried out by the Volcanological and Seismological Observatory of Guadeloupe (OVSG-IPGP). The organization recorded, in a region of 450 km around Guadeloupe, a total of 164 earthquakes of tectonic origin of maximum magnitude 4,7. Concerning the Northern Islands, two earthquakes were slightly felt in Saint-Barthélemy: on August 8 at 6:15 am, an earthquake of magnitude 4,7 was recorded 113 km east-south-east of the island , 61 km deep, and on August 16 at 13:25 p.m., a second magnitude 3 earthquake was located 39 km east of the island, 37 km deep.
