Since Monday, May 14, 2018, a delicate intervention has been underway on the entrance pillar of Fort Louis as part of emergency and safeguarding works, carried out by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin and under the supervision of Pierre Bortolussi, chief architect of historical monuments and the TERH-Caraïbes company.
We inform you that this work on the pillar will continue until Wednesday May 23 at 18 p.m. This work zone is located at the entrance to the Fort, the site closure extension is necessary.
We thank visitors not to go up and not to enter Fort Louis during the whole duration of this operation and to respect the instructions indicated on the site.
The safeguarding and restoration works are carried out and financed by the Collectivity of Saint-Martin with the support of the Prefecture of Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin (Development Contract) and the Department of Cultural Affairs of Guadeloupe.
