Economic layoff: CCISM advises companies not to pay CSP

0

On December 16, 2017, on the occasion of her visit to Saint-Martin, the Minister of Labor, Murie Pénicaud had announced in particular, the exemption from the funding of the professional security contract for companies.

“Companies, which must lay off employees for economic reasons, will, in connection with Unedic, be exempt from funding the professional security contract. This will save several businesses and several hundred jobs on the island, "she said.

We therefore impatiently awaited confirmation of this strong commitment.

In January 2018, as promised by Madam Minister, and on a proposal from the Government, a specific amendment was introduced to the law for the ratification of MACRON Ordinances, as part of the shuttle to the Senate, ”notes the CCISM.

Thus, and concerning this point of financing the CSP, the amendment provides:

“Employers, exercising their activity in the communities of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy are exempt from the contribution provided for in article L 1233-69 of the same code for employees who joined the professional security contract between September 6, 2017 and September 5, 2018 ".

It would nevertheless seem that this specific measure agreed by the Government encounters difficulties of application, since members were able to report to us that they had received the call for CSP funding by Pôle Emploi.

We therefore invite you, in light of the above, to suspend all payment of this CSP contribution and to contest its payment by post with acknowledgment of receipt addressed to Pôle Emploi.
