The 2016/2017 cruise season opened with the first inaugural stopover of the Viking Star ship.
During the exchange of plates on board this week, the captain of the liner of the Norwegian company Viking Oceans Cruise, Rune Lokling, thanked the port for their warm welcome on behalf of the crew, in the presence of the Minister of Tourism Ingrid Arrindell and port officials. For the occasion, the passengers were greeted with music. As part of its winter cruises, the ship - voted “Best Cruise Liner of the Year 2015” at the Cruise Critic Awards - offers its customers an 11-day itinerary in the Caribbean: Puerto Rico, Tortola, Antigua, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Guadeloupe, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sint Maarten and Saint Thomas. The ship will return to Europe next February. It should be noted that this event was one of the last of the Minister: "I take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone with whom I had the pleasure of working." _EH
