Conference-debate: The paths to follow for a CCISM of tomorrow

0

On the occasion of the ten years of its existence, the CCISM organized, on Friday October 25, a conference-debate on the theme “CCISM of tomorrow, what challenges? " A meeting in which a rather sparse audience participated, and which aimed to address subjects allowing to identify avenues which will serve as a basis in the definition of the CCISM 2020/2021 action plan.

For Bhanicia Bryan, Interim Director General of the CCISM, this debate fits in with its time, “today, we have an interest in existing. We meet the needs of businesses in the area ”. On the other hand, one of the challenges of the CCISM is to support the companies of Saint-Martin in their environment which is globalized, specifies the Director General ad interim. “Currently, we are talking about digitization, digital, etc. We ourselves are part of this approach ”, thus the CCI has developed its website and encourages services via its digital platform,“ soon we will be able to proceed with payments for our services via our website ”. Bhanicia Bryan remarks and insists on the fact that companies must be supported towards digitalization, so that they can exist and be competitive in the regional market. This important change has already been initiated, but the Acting Director General assures us that we must move up a gear.

Former President of the CCISM, Jean Arnell considers that institutional and technological changes are forcing the Consular Chambers to change, whether from the point of view of their catalog of services, the way in which they represent businesses, but also deal with the mode of financing which is also changing. This change is underway, says the former President, with a catalog of services that takes advantage of CCI data, but also with a training catalog that takes into account the real needs of business leaders in the region. The CCISM mutation is underway and necessary.

During this conference debate, in addition to Bhanicia Bryan and Jean Arnell, Taï Ghzalale, associate member of the CCISM, Maître Sandrine Jabouley, CCISM technical advisor, Julien Bataille, former employee of the CCISM, and Luciana Raspail, Administrative and Support for Businesses. _RM
