ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION: Creation of 125 new waste collection points!

The Community is currently renovating the network of voluntary waste drop-off points in the territory with the creation of 125 new collection points.

Since last March, the COM has started its project to renovate voluntary waste drop-off points. The voluntary drop-off points for recyclable household packaging waste (yellow and green points) will be replaced and new sites will be equipped (125 sites in total).

Concrete cells will be built specifically to accommodate, on the one hand, green waste and, on the other hand, bulky items (15 sites in total). Depositing green waste and bulky items next to trash bins will no longer be authorized. Only dedicated cells as well as the recycling center, for individuals, craftsmen and small traders, will be authorized to receive these types of waste.

Other professionals must go to the Grandes-Cayes ecosite to dispose of all their waste at their own expense.

During the duration of the work, it is imperative not to deposit waste in the construction site rights-of-way.
