St Barth hotel manager gets drugs sent by La Poste

This could have passed like a letter to La Poste if the sender of the package had filled out the delivery slip. But as information was missing, customs officials opened the package to check the contents and discovered some 25 grams of drugs (amphetamines, cocaine, MDMA, 10 units of blotter / LSD, mainly). The package was confiscated and the recipient, a young manager of a five-star hotel in Saint-Barthélemy, placed in police custody and then summoned before the Saint-Martin criminal court. To the magistrates, he explained that he had to deliver the package to people participating in the electronic music festival in Happy Bay and that it was other people met in the United States who asked him if they could have the package sent to him because they did not want to travel by plane with. He was fined 800 euros by the court. (More details on www.soualigapost.com).
