Violence “of spectacular intensity”. “We have not gone far from drama”. The deputy prosecutor summarizes in the introduction to his indictment, the facts for which FCL appeared Friday morning before the local court of Saint-Martin. This 31-year-old man is accused of violence with a weapon on his ex-wife for the third time and of having damaged property.

Tuesday morning, exasperated by his ex who called his parents the night before, he decides to delete it. He telephones her to “say goodbye to her because he is going to kill her”. A few minutes later, he shows up at his apartment armed with a kitchen knife. He grabs her by the hair and by the neck. The woman manages to escape and take refuge in a convenience store. He follows her and on the way punctures the four tires of a car. Alerted, the gendarmes arrive and challenge FCL.

During his hearings, he recognizes the main fact without difficulty. He “freaked a cable”, he confides. On the other hand, he does not confirm that he placed the knife under the victim's throat as the latter declared.

After deliberation, the court sentenced the defendant to a five-year prison sentence, including 30 months in prison and 30 months accompanied by a probationary suspension for two years including the obligation of care and prohibitions to carry a weapon for five years, to come into contact with the victim, to stay in Saint-Martin for five years. The continued detention was also pronounced. At the end of the facts which took place on Tuesday, the judge of freedoms and detention had enforced the sentence of six months in prison and revoked a month of suspension. These two sentences were pronounced in 2018 and 2020 by the court for similar acts on the same victim.

On Friday, FCL also appeared for having damaged a car on March 5. During an altercation with the victim, he was angry and grabbed a metal bar and kicked a car in which their baby was. (www.soualigapost.com)
