One evening a 26 year old man entered the apartment of a 75 year old lady. As she is lying in bed, the lady saw a figure pass by the door of her entrance and sneak into her apartment. Strong in character, she ordered the person to leave, who replied "I want to sleep with you". She reiterated her order and the person repeated her will to her.
She said the man was erect. The man was arrested and taken into police custody. It was presented Wednesday morning in immediate appearance before the criminal court of Saint-Martin. He was charged with assault and sexual touching of a vulnerable person. He alleged that he had an urgent urge to go to the bathroom to justify his behavior.
After deliberation, the court sentenced the individual to eight months in prison and ordered his continued detention. He will also be registered in the automated national judicial file of perpetrators of sexual or violent offenses (FIJAIS).
