Carried by the association Les Compagnons Bâtisseurs, the first edition of the inter-structure competition for Integration through Economic Activity (IAE) of Saint-Martin will take place this Saturday at Sandy Ground, with the theme "Construction and woodworking". .
This beautiful project was born from the imagination of a committed volunteer from the Compagnons Bâtisseurs, Yolande Lambert, who decided to trust them to organize the event: "When I arrived in Saint-Martin in 2019, I had the chance to to know extraordinary people including Jacqueline who made me discover the Compagnons Bâtisseurs. As I participated in their workshops, I discovered the values of the association which are also mine: the fight against exclusion, tolerance, sharing and mutual aid. Yolande is therefore fully committed to this experience rich in knowledge and social ties. By imagining this IAE competition, she wanted to highlight the professional reintegration associations which have a major role in the territory, without forgetting the staff on reintegration contracts that Yolande wanted to highlight through this action towards recycling and ecology. The first IAE competition, which will begin at 9 a.m. until 16:30 p.m. this Saturday, November 19, in the J.Beaupère car park at Sandy Ground, will honor five structures of Integration through Economic Activity which will work on the realization of a wooden project: the Maintenance and Upkeep Company (EME) represented by its manager Hubert Gorizia, Sandy Ground On the Move Insertion (SGOMI) represented by its president, Georges Richardson, the Association for Continuity, the Excellence and Diversity (ACED) represented by its president, Audrey Claxton, the Actual Interim Insertion (A2I) represented by Fanny Pelico Hospitalier and, of course, the Compagnons Bâtisseurs de Saint-Martin. In order to make all the teams aware of the handling of the tools, operational preparation workshops were organized with each participating structure before the major competition. Many partners have responded to this magnificent human initiative, supporting the Compagnons Bâtisseurs and Saint-Martin youth in integration. The organizing association would particularly like to thank: Fanelite, Bistro de la Mer, Cardec SXM, R2D Distribution, Dimapro, Électriciens Sans Frontière, Cadisco, Gitem-euronics and all the others for donating equipment and materials. The prizes will be offered by drawing lots during a raffle for the 30 employees in integration who participate in the IAE competition. Thanks are also in order for Atelier Olda, the layout company Gaylord Dessomme and all the financial partners who have been supporting the Compagnons Bâtisseurs for almost 4 years, namely the Collectivity, the State, the Fondation de France, FSE, DEETS, CAF and SEMSAMAR.
