July 14 celebrations: No fireworks or military parade but a "Drive in" concert organized in Galisbay

This year, the Collectivity will celebrate the national holiday of July 14 as part of an official ceremony restricted due to health restrictions.

It is therefore a ceremonial ceremony in a select committee that will be organized this Tuesday, July 14, to celebrate National Day.

It will start at 10 am, in the Community Garden, according to the following program:

10h00: Official wreath laying in front of the war memorial

- Presentation of Medals and Letters of congratulations for Acts of Courage and Dedication to 3 gendarmes and 1 civilian by the Secretary General of the Prefecture

- Awarding of stripes to the 10 agents of the Territorial Police promoted to brigadier level by the President of the Collectivity

10H45: Official speeches: Speeches made behind closed doors and broadcast live on the COM Facebook page. Only those involved will have access to the Executive Council room. Guests will be seated outside on the terrace and will be able to follow the speeches from a screen.

Go to the parking lot from Galisbay… by car

In the absence of fireworks, the Culture department of the Collectivity will offer a new entertainment on the evening of July 14, to celebrate the Marigot festival, namely from 18 p.m. to 00 p.m. a Drive-In Concert and giant Karaoke in the Galisbay car park. .

This unprecedented event consists of giving a live concert (podium with local artists), in the style of open-air cinema. The public will be installed in their car (4 people maximum per vehicle) and will be able to enjoy this musical entertainment by an FM radio frequency (which was not communicated to us editor's note).
