The Minister of Justice Jean-Jacques Urvoas was traveling last Friday in Saint-Martin. His day started at the Marigot Courthouse where he met with the judicial authorities concerning the seconded room.

In the prefecture, penitentiary questions were then raised, before the signing of the agreement relating to the methods of application of article 937 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Persons placed in pre-trial detention until their appearance in court may be detained in a room at the latest until the third working day following the order prescribing the detention, the article states. This agreement was signed by Danielle Drouy-Ayral, Attorney General at the Basse-Terre Court of Appeal; Isabelle Gorce, director of the prison administration; Loïc Chauty, first president of the Basse-Terre Court of Appeal; the border police and the gendarmerie. _EH
