Sunday afternoon, around 13:30 p.m., a large-scale fire broke out on the heights of Grand-Case. The criminal track is envisaged by the investigators.
Alerted, the firefighters quickly went to the area while the gendarmes took all the necessary measures to secure the premises.
As a precaution, the bathers present on the small beach as well as the residents close to the fire were evacuated by the police.
According to testimonies collected from several people, a man (unfavorably known to the gendarmerie services editor's note) was seen setting fire to the hill. The same individual then left the scene in a white pickup truck.
