Local life: A Sandy-Ground resident thanks her saviors for an evening…

0

Last Thursday, November 16, around 20 p.m., while on patrol on Lady Fish Street, at Sandy Ground, gendarmes reservists of the Territorial Reserve Company No. 2 arrive on a crowd in the middle of the street. The soldiers get out of their vehicle and, on approaching, realize that a woman is lying on the ground in a lateral safety position.

While they make sure that the emergency services are well alerted, the reservists go to the unconscious person. Taking the pulse, Chief Warrant Officer FAYAUD realizes that the woman lying on the ground is in respiratory arrest. It is therefore necessary to act immediately: he performs the first aid gestures by giving breaths. During this time, the gendarme BROCIERO takes the pulse and checks the return of breathing and the brigadier-chef DUFOUR relaunches the emergency services and makes the onlookers back off. Shortly after, Bethania, our victim, comes to her. She was brought to the emergency room in the process.

On November 28, Bethania reunites with her saviors! Full of life, she thanked them warmly and, smiling, said jokingly: "i'll call the gendarmes before for next time".
