It is at the Grand-Case Beach Club that the Tourist Office, organizer of the event, entrusted the local and foreign press for the official launch of the Gastronomy Festival.
The table of speakers included big names in world gastronomy participating in this second edition of the Gastronomy Festival: Lionel Levy, inventive chef at the InterContinental Marseille, Renee Blackman, private chef and caterer in New York, Alain Warth, coordinator chefs and founder of the gastronomic guide Gault et Millau Antilles/Guyane, Ninon Fauvarque, mixologist at the Society Bar Haute Savoie and 1st woman to have won the title of World Champion in 2018 at the Havana Club Cocktail Grand Prix in Cuba, Nicolas Sale, chef renowned and sponsor of the 2022 edition, Kevin Bludsi, American barbecue expert and founder of the Bludso's BBQ grill, Ilham Moudnib, pastry chef, consultant and author of the book "Small snacks for schoolchildren" which revisits supermarket biscuits in a healthy and gourmet, Daniel Vézina, co-founder of the restaurant Laurie Raphaël, Canadian consultant and gastronomic creator, Rafael Pires, chef at Mia Restaurant in Brazil,Laurent Huguet, starred chef who was already present during the first edition and Vladimir François-Maïkoova, chef from Martinique. These culinary creators were accompanied by Valérie Damaseau, president of the Saint-Martin Tourist Office, and Aïda Weinum, the director, both delighted with the realization of this 2022 edition. Each time the guest chefs speak, in French and in English, the assembly could feel everyone's enthusiasm and impatience to begin this new Gastronomy Festival, officially launched by Valérie Damaseau at the close of the press conference. 67 restaurants, all categories combined, take part in the competition, with the main ingredient being the plantain banana. The event will be held until November 22 with many activities, cooking workshops and competitions. _VX
