0

Among general practitioners, cases clinically suggestive of chickenpox remain high in weeks 18 and 19 in Saint-Martin. "The trend seems to be a slow and irregular decrease in the epidemic", according to the latest bulletin from the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Guadeloupe / Iles du Nord. Concerning emergencies, since mid-April, the number of passages varies between 1 and 3, except in week 18 with 5 passages. “It is difficult to identify a trend on this indicator”, specify the health authorities. In Saint-Barthélemy, no case has been recorded in town medicine since February. Chickenpox can be complicated especially in pregnant women: "The risk is to contaminate the fetus which can develop a congenital chickenpox." _EH
