A show that encourages the letter-writing relationship to forge social ties

Strengthen social cohesion by anonymously matching strangers "but consenting!" ". This is the ambition of the Oxymore theater company. Led by two characters, Thérèse and Marcel, the show entitled "Les Dactylos, Bureau de poste poético-burlesque" starts on a principle: "Someone you don't know has written something to you".

“In general, we settle in a square or in a busy street in the city center where we observe as much social diversity as possible, and we suggest that passers-by receive a letter. If they like the letter, they can settle down and write one too. It is a street show made by spectators for spectators ”explains Virginie, who plays Thérèse.

The two comedians toured France, between July and September 2017, during which they distributed letters from strangers in around fifty cities to more than 7000 people. They have started the second phase of the Tour de France for Typists, this time in the Overseas Territories. They are currently in Saint-Martin and performed Tuesday March 12 before three successive second classes at the school hall. Today they are going to another establishment on the island.

"The idea is to land unexpectedly during a lesson," says Virginie. The show is then adapted to the place and the audience and takes the form of an express writing workshop, called "La Fac" during which students can reveal their talent for poetry.
