A studious stay in Saint-Martin…

0

Since May 24, eight students from Tulane University located in New Orleans (Louisiana) are doing an internship in Saint Martin as part of their studies (Unit of Value in Anthropology).

No, no, the students of "Tulane University" are not on vacation in Saint-Martin, far from it! On the contrary, in the presence of their teacher, Myriam Huet, they make a studious stay on the island as part of their university program.

Every morning, students are welcomed in the gardens of the “Solidarity Rastafari Organization” located in Bellevue. The manager of “We agree with Culture”, Touzah-Jah-Bash is always ready to share with his “students” his vast knowledge of the history of Saint-Martin and its production of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables organic. The crops are of course produced with respect for nature, no fertilizers or pesticides are used. Only manure is spread at the foot of the different plantations.

Another subject discussed during the stay: knowledge of medicinal plants and their actions on our health, knowing how to associate them, making various herbal preparations ... all a traditional knowledge shared by Touzah-Jah-Bash with young people American students. _AF
