As part of the renovation work on the Maritime Station in Marigot, a portion of rue de l'Embarcadère is temporarily closed for a period of five months, from Monday March 1 at 6 a.m. to Thursday July 1, 2021 at 18 p.m. hours.
This restriction will apply in the portion of the street surrounding the entire Maritime Station building (right side of the road) to the end of the building.
During this period, Taxi drivers will occupy the parking reserved for tourist buses located in front of the Maritime Station for the exercise of their profession (pick-up and drop-off of passengers).
The small street usually used as a “waiting area” for practicing taxi drivers will be transformed into a detour lane during the above-mentioned period.
Thus :
- The small street located between the local restaurants and the "Taxis" station will be kept open to car traffic,
- No other street closures are authorized during this period,
- Any vehicle parked in the prohibited zone will be removed and impounded at the owner's expense.
