Following the decree of February 12 and its provisions concerning the wearing of masks in elementary schools of Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, the Collectif des Parents de Saint-Martin et Saint-Barthélemy, launched a petition in opposition to the application of these provisions in our territories. This petition collects over 1 signatures.
“Despite the large number of signatories, and apart from the support given to us by Claire Guion-Firmin, MP for the Northern Islands, our demands have not yet been heard by our elected officials and rulers. No response has been given to us ”, declare the members of the collective who have thus decided to organize three gatherings: Tuesday March 2 from 7 am to 9 am in front of the prefecture of Saint-Martin, Friday March 5 from 7 am to 00 am in front of the local rectorate (West Indies Mall) and 9:7 am in Saint-Barth.
The group also asked to be received by the prefect and the vice-rector.
