COVID-19: Sharp drop in the number of contaminations in the Dutch part in February

The number of covid-19 infections fell by more than half in February in the Dutch part compared to the previous month: 195 new cases were recorded (including 15 last week) against 406 in January.

Since March last year, 2 people have been infected partly in Holland, half of whom were infected between November 057 and January 2020. The greatest numbers of contaminations were recorded in December and January. As of February 2021, the number of active cases is 28.

In February, 5 PCR tests were carried out among the population out of a total of 696. At Juliana airport and since the reopening of international flights in July, 19228 PCR tests have been carried out on passengers, including 2336 in February. According to health bulletins, no PCR test was performed last week. However, the vaccination campaign has started.
