EEASM: Water and sanitation networks: update on work in progress in Orient Bay, Grand-Case and Agrément

0

The Saint-Martin Water and Sanitation Establishment (EEASM) is continuing its investments to improve the distribution of drinking water and wastewater treatment, and informs the population about the work in progress and the expected disruptions.

Orient Bay Beach – Renewal of the sewerage network

Work to renew the sewerage network continues on the northern part of Orient Bay beach. The burying of the new pipes has begun and will continue throughout the month of February on the beach, from the Mont Vernon hotel to the car park of the “Kkô Beach” and “Coco Beach” restaurants.

This network ensures the transfer of wastewater from the Espérance, Hope Estate, Cul-de-Sac, Mont Vernon and Orient Bay neighborhoods for treatment at the Quartier d'Orléans station. Its resizing is essential to meet the growing sanitation needs linked to the development of the territory.

This work is co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the ERDF, as well as by the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB).

Grand-Case: Route de l'Espérance – Extension of the sewerage network

Disruptions to airport access from Hope Estate

The development of infrastructure around Grand-Case airport and the Route de l'Espérance makes it necessary to extend the sewerage network to be able to collect wastewater from new constructions.

Until mid-April, road traffic disruptions are expected on the Route de l'Espérance and may hinder access to the airport:

– Alternating traffic between Hope Estate and the airport entrance, weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 14:30 p.m.

This work benefits from financial aid from the State and the Collectivity within the framework of the Saint-Martin convergence and transformation contract.

Approval: Nana Clark and François Hunt streets – Commissioning of new water pipes and road repairs

The intervention teams have finished laying the new drinking water pipes on rue Nana Clark and François Hunt in Agrément.

Road repairs on trenches will take place from this week until the end of February, rue Nana Clark from the Agrément roundabout, then rue François Hunt:

– Alternating circulation on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 16 p.m., and facilitated during peak hours

– Parking prohibited on the right-of-way of the works

This operation also benefits from financial aid from the State and the Collectivity.
