The Community supports the creation of a compensation commission for traders
A delegation representing the merchants of Marigot was received by the vice-president Wendel Cocks, in charge of the economic development of the territory, yesterday morning, at the Hôtel de la Collectivité.
Following the mobilization of traders, in view of the work undertaken in the city center on the water and sanitation network, this meeting aimed to discuss the possibilities of financial compensation in favor of companies impacted by this work.
Aware of the impact of this work on commercial activity in Marigot, Vice-President Wendel Cocks was in favor of the creation of an amicable compensation commission for the commercial damage caused by the work. The president Aline Hanson will put to the vote of the territorial council, at the beginning of next December, the creation of the said commission.
