LOCAL ECONOMY: The elected representatives of the economic delegation draw up their 2023 roadmap

The first vice-president, Alain Richardson, in charge of economic development and CEO of Semsamar, convened a working meeting on Thursday, December 8, in order to discuss with the elected representatives of the delegation and to draw up a roadmap spouse.

Bernadette Davis, 2nd Vice-President, President of the Economic Affairs Commission, Valérie Damaseau, President of the Saint-Martin Tourist Office and Arnel Daniel, Territorial Councilor and President of the Port of Galisbay, were present during this lively exchange by Bhanicia Bryan, Director of Support and Economic Promotion within the delegation.

During this exchange on the economic roadmap of the new governance, strategic orientations were jointly defined for the year 2023:

• The development of a statistics institute

• The development of tourism and all of its components (environment, equipment, actors, events, etc.

• The development of rural economic sectors, such as agriculture and fishing and the levers to be activated to carry out these policies

• Economic and cultural animation over the next 3 years

• The development of new centers of attraction

• Business financing and its challenges

• Support for economic players in a partnership logic

"Economic development being a cross-cutting subject, involving several areas of intervention, it was agreed that elected officials and technicians will meet regularly in order to move forward together on these themes and gain in efficiency", indicated Alain Richardson.
