President Daniel Gibbs yesterday asked the CCISM and FIPCOM to work on the continuation and adaptation of social measures for companies in the coming months.
During his meeting with the President of the Republic last week, the issue of supporting businesses, particularly in the tourism sector, was discussed; President Gibbs has effectively requested that the partial activity mechanism be maintained until the end of 2020.
The Head of State has shown himself ready to study the extension of a partial activity device until December 31, 2020 for companies in the tourism sector.
Taking into account the difficult economic outlook for the next tourist season in Saint-Martin, and in many overseas territories, President Gibbs thus called on the dynamic forces of the territory to develop concrete and effective proposals, backed by the experience acquired through the devices developed after Cyclone Irma in 2017.
