TOURISM: Partial reopening of the Grand Case Beach Club in June

0

The Grand Case Beach Club hotel is under construction following the passage of Hurricane Irma. The management's objective is to be able to “partially” reopen in June 2018 with around fifty rooms.

Today only fourteen are rented to experts, EDF agents, engineers, etc., on mission on the island as part of the reconstruction, entrusted the direction to the Minister of Labor, Muriel Pénicaud during his trip to Saint -Martin December 16.

In addition to renovating its rooms, the Grand Case Beach Club must rehabilitate its treatment plant. Since 1976, the hotel has been treating its wastewater itself. This represents 25 cubic meters of releases per year. European funds have been requested to rebuild the structure which will be powered by solar energy.

The hotel's construction site calls on local businesses and supports between fifty and seventy families. The complete reopening of the hotel is expected in about ten months. (Source: www.soualigapost.com)
