The SXM Reads committee invites the population to take part in a reading session on Saturday, from 16:30 p.m. to 19 p.m., at the Plantz property (near Mac Donald's), announced on its website the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, which regularly organizes this type of session. On the program for this fun evening for young and old: beautiful stories, captivating poems and music, in the presence of several speakers, including Papa Umpo. The Philipsburg Jubilee Library, the Come Center, the Rotary St Martin Sunrise, the Sint Maarten National Commission for UNESCO are part of this very active committee. The aim of this movement is to encourage reading among people with low literacy skills.
