This year, the magic of Christmas really existed for a benefactor who gathered in her house in the Quartier d'Orléans around thirty children aged 2 to 17 years old.
These children are abandoned by their parents outside her door or on the steps of the church where this ordinary heroine works. Parents know that by leaving their children in the care of this lady, they will be pampered and receive love and education.
Helped by her daughter, this woman reorganized her whole house so that each child could have their own place and their own bed. Feeding, sheltering, clothing and caring for around thirty children is obviously not easy, their situation is therefore precarious.
Alerted by this ubiquitous case, Paige Strilcic of the Association Mes Enfants de Saint-Martin, wanted to get involved to offer a real Christmas to these two wonderful women who are so altruistic; dressed in her Santa Claus outfit and accompanied by her acolyte Filipe Lopez, still dressed as Santa Claus, they arranged a surprise Christmas Eve so that each child received a gift and enjoyed a dinner graciously prepared and offered by the restaurant Mama de Porto Cupecoy.
These children, neglected by their parents, were able to live a magical Christmas, filled with kindness and joy thanks to the donors and to Paige Strilcic, whose energy and involvement do not deserve; the 30 children, young and old, all happy to be seated at the same table as Father Christmas, lived a happy parenthesis in their uneasy existence; the solidarity star shone a little brighter on New Years Eve.
