Solidarity: The Rotary Guadeloupe and the Rotary Club of Saint-Martin Nord, united to help the poorest families

Following the devastating passage of Hurricane IRMA, the Rotary Clubs of Guadeloupe, the Caribbean and Rotary International mobilized to come to the aid of populations hard hit. 

One of the manifestations of this mobilization is the implementation of a joint action between Rotary Guadeloupe and the Rotary Club of Saint-Martin Nord, in partnership with the company Pro-à-Pro Guadeloupe.

It is a food shipment operation. No less than 20 pallets of foodstuffs (worth 20 €) offered by the company Pro-à-Pro Guadeloupe, which will be packaged and transported to Saint-Martin by members of Rotary Guadeloupe and distributed on placed by their counterparts in Saint-Martin.

"Water, milk, cakes and thickets, oil, grains (rice, lentils), canned vegetables, pies in a dish, ready meals and fruit juices" will be dispatched in two stages.

The first shipment left the company Pro-à-Pro Guadeloupe, on Tuesday October 3 at 10 am to be loaded on the boat of the company STMC bound for Saint-Martin. It is logically accepted today by the president of the Rotary Club Saint-Martin Nord, Ms. Jasmine Sally. The second shipment will leave on Tuesday October 10 under the same conditions. The receipt of food by the Rotary Club of Saint-Martin Nord will be in the presence of the President of the Rotary Club Grande-Terre Pointe des Châteaux, Olivia RAMOUTAR and The President of the Rotary Club of Saint-Martin Nord, Jasmine SALLY. The foodstuffs will be entrusted to the CCAS of the Collectivity of Saint-Martin which will ensure their distribution, in priority to the most needy families. _AF
