Like every year, March 8 is an important day for all girls and women around the world. In Saint-Martin, several activities will take place this Wednesday as part of this day of mobilization for equal rights and the fight against violence against women. Here are a few.

Exhibition at the Samanna

In partnership with ALEFPA – Le Manteau de Saint Martin, the Samanna invites you to immerse yourself in the beauty and inspiration of the works of art on display, signed Magali Crecel, painter of Martinican origin whose colorful and complex canvases embody the island's lush landscapes and cultural heritage, Audrey Claxton, a daring woman who pours her emotions onto paper creating unique masterpieces, and the Abri Montagnard Collective behind which hides a community  flourishing community offering support, understanding and love to adults with autism, in a home dedicated to their well-being. This exhibition entitled "Fan d'Elle" aims to celebrate art that transcends all limits and to recognize the exceptional contributions of women in all fields. Free session of Longe Coast in Grand Case

Because well-being contributes to self-esteem and assertiveness, the JLCA association (Je Longe la Côte aux Antilles), which has many members, offers women a moment of relaxation through a free initiation to the Longe Côte à Petite Page at the Grand-Case Beach Club this Wednesday from 17 p.m. to 18 p.m.

This water walk is not only a fun physical activity but also an opportunity to meet people and spend a friendly and supportive time. An aperitif will be offered to the participants after the effort, in order to discuss their experience as women in the society of the 21st century. Demonstration of eloquence at CCISM

Organized by Women Business Leaders Saint-Martin & Saint-Barthélemy (FSE) in partnership with the Interprofessional Consular Chamber of Saint-Martin (CCISM), Initiative Saint-Martin Active (ISMA), Pôle Emploi and Saint-Martin Evolution Toastmasters Club, this "Elevate" evening will be held at the CCISM from 18 p.m. to 20 p.m. this Wednesday in a unifying spirit during this women's rights day. Eloquence is the art of speaking well, of moving, of persuading, of being listened to, but also of mastering one's thoughts in action in order to gain capital confidence by speaking in public.

This demonstration aims to stimulate his leadership through effective and structured speaking. The free event is open to everyone, women and men alike: students, job seekers with an entrepreneurial project, entrepreneurs, etc. _VX

 

• Several events also organized at Sandy's Too by the Center Symphorien of Insertion

As every year, the Center Symphorien d'Insertion (CSI) located in Quartier d'Orléans and chaired by Marie-Paule Rousseau Cornette  organizes several events as part of the International Women's Day 2023 celebrated on March 8.

For this 8nd edition, several actions will be carried out in partnership with "Répit Solidarité Insertion", chaired by Glance Fleming, "Soualiga Education - ISGCN" with its president Jean-Luc Bristol, Cani TV represented by Joël Ayuk and the chef of the Sandy's Too restaurant, Sandra Illidge.

– Reception of women

– The meeting of business women  Of Saint-Martin

– Conference of Women Partners of the CSI – Institutions and Association of Saint-Martin

– Debate to improve the place of women in society –  women's equal rights

– Presentation of CSI partners –  Women from neighboring islands

– Prize giving to the 8 exceptional women  that the CSI honors this March 8

From 13 p.m. to 14 p.m .:

– Citizen debates

– Stand Animation awareness / Coaching

– Stand exhibition local products, creation of Saint-Martin women

– Photo exhibition of our women in the field

– Animation – Well-being stand

Thursday March 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: meeting and youth workshops  daughters and mothers with the “Répit Solidarité Insertion” partner

Friday March 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: visit and presentation of the ISGCN Training Center and the training and integration program for young girl mothers.

Monday March 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.:

Conference – Screening of the film “Violence against women” by the partner  “CANI TV”. _AF
