Company: COM presents its projects to the Director General of Caisse des Dépôts et consignations

President Daniel Gibbs and his vice-president in charge of economic development, Yawo Nyuiadzi received, on Sunday, October 20, the general manager of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), Eric Lombard. An opportunity to exchange views on the current context experienced by Saint-Martin residents, and the expectations of the Community in terms of support for its major development projects.

Before carrying out a field visit to present the projects of the territory, Daniel Gibbs and Eric Lombard signed the revised agreement of the Territorial Master Plan for Digital Development (SDTAN).

The field visit started at the Port la Royale marina in Marigot, whose Community financed the reconstruction and coating of the deck, the flowering of the public areas and the rehabilitation of public lighting, for a total amount of 40 €. As explained by AFD technician Jean-Sébastien Roca, these works will be completed by mid-November and the start of the peak tourist season.

The engineering division of the Collectivity, led by Isabelle Gorizia, then gave a presentation of the Marigot waterfront development project, which includes the temporary installation of the new market lolos (restaurants, bars and shops) which will open to the public in November, and the future development of the seafront promenade, between the Pirate roundabout and the ferry terminal, the first works of which are scheduled to start in 2020.

The delegation then went to the port of Galisbay, where the site manager, Albéric Ellis, gave a detailed presentation of the project to extend the docks for receiving goods.

The visit continued to the Semsamar and SIG residences in Quartier d'Orléans, Cul de Sac and Marigot, under the aegis of Vice-President Yawo Nyuiadzi, thus offering social landlords the opportunity to present the rehabilitation work in progress in residences damaged by Irma and enhancement of the supply of social housing.
