Sint Maarten (Covid-19): 13 new active cases recorded on the Dutch side

According to the last health bulletin established on November 2, 13 new people have tested positive for Covid-19; bringing the total number of active cases in the Dutch part to 62. The overall number of confirmed cases now stands at 844 since the start of the epidemic.

The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are now monitoring 55 people in isolation at their homes, all with suspicious symptoms related to the coronavirus.

In addition, 6 patients are hospitalized at Sint Maarten Medical Center.

Another 169 people are now under surveillance after possibly coming into contact with an active case.

Since the first case on the Dutch side, 1 people have been declared cured.

The total number of deaths from Covid-19 remains at 22.

Finally, the health services have already tested 1222 travelers arriving at Princess Juliana International Airport and 5647 people across the country.

"To flatten the curve and reduce the spread of the virus, we must continue to wear masks in public, practice social distancing of 2 meters, disinfect and wash hands frequently and refrain from mass gatherings," insists the minister of Public Health, Social Development and Labor, Richard Panneflek._AF
