Covid-19: 33 new active cases recorded in the French part


The latest health bulletin published by the Regional Health Agency reports 33 new cases of Covid-19 identified in Saint-Martin for the period from October 11 to 17. A stable figure since 31 cases were identified the previous week.

Taking into account the consolidated data from previous weeks, this brings to 3 the number of cumulative cases of coronavirus confirmed in the territory since the start of the health crisis.

It should be noted that since October 17 (current week 42), 6 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded out of 517 analyzes carried out.

Otherwise, as of October 20, 5 confirmed Covid-19 patients are hospitalized at the Louis-Constant Fleming hospital center.

In addition, between October 11 and 17, 2 medical evacuations of confirmed Covid-19 patients were carried out from Saint-Martin to the CHU de Guadeloupe. 

No new death of a Covid-19 positive patient is to be deplored.

Since the start of the health crisis, 55 residents of Saint Martin and 6 residents of Saint Barthélémy have died as a result of Covid-19.

Slight increase in epidemiological indicators

According to SI-DEP ARS data, the incidence rate is up slightly, and remains above the alert threshold, at 92,3 / 100 inhabitants against 000 / 86,7 inhabitants the week before .

The weekly positivity rate is also slightly increasing but still remains below the vigilance threshold, with a rate of 2% recorded between October 11 and 17, against 1,9% the previous week. _AF
