RUGBY: Rachel Masi becomes the first woman president of a rugby club in the Caribbean


After the resignation of Philippe Salva, former president of the Archiball Rugby Saint-Martin club, last June, Rachel Masi was unanimously elected president. 

"I became not only the first woman president of a rugby club in the West Indies but also the first woman president of an Archi club in the whole of France". Before taking office, Rachel Masi always showed dedication to the oval ball, and to the Archis club. First by coaching the small sections, U6, U8 and U10 and by joining the women in the field. 

At the head of the club recently, Rachel Masi is quick to share the upcoming projects for the Archis. After the good season of the rugby school this year, the president wishes to advocate the continuity of these results. First of all by inflating the numbers of the women's section, part of the idea of ​​a group of 4 to 5 young women. Those we call the “Archigirls”. "There, we want to build a solid team and be able to attract more young people and create a younger team," confided Rachel. Finally, for the senior category, the president hopes to lead these gentlemen to a title in the elite championship or the Guadeloupe championship.
