The Regional Health Agency ensures regular sanitary control of all declared bathing areas in Guadeloupe, Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy. For this, samples are taken and their analyzes are carried out by laboratories approved by the Ministry in charge of health.
Bathing area profiles
The implementation of swimming profiles is a regulatory obligation. Its objective is to identify the sources of pollution which may have an impact on the quality of bathing water. This then makes it possible to define the measures to be put in place to ensure the protection of the health of swimmers and to determine the actions that make it possible to limit or eliminate the sources of pollution in order to guarantee water of good quality and bacteriologically stable over time.
